Recycling must be a collective effort across all associations & regions. As the President of Bureau of Middle East Recycling, I will continually endeavour to promote strong relationship with all our Global Associations to build a stronger partnership with Global Recycling Community.

To help me achieve this, two of our partner Associations colleagues have accepted our invitation to join as BMR Honorary Advisors to carry forward this mission.

BMR Events

Eng. Salam Al SHARIF

Salam AL SHARIF is a Civil and Metallurgical Engineer from Texas A & M and EMBA Graduate from Cambridge, MA.

Fourth generation family business Leader and founder of Sharif Metals Intl Dubai in 1986.

Chairing SHARIF METALS GROUP, and SHARIF RECYCLING GROUP which are managed by his sons. Having full range Recycling facilities in the region with granulators, shredders, and full equipped facilities both for ferrous and non-ferrous.

Held/holding several positions at BIR as Vice President N.F Division, Shredder Board member and Chairman for Ambassadors Committee. First President of BMR for 10 years (2008-2018) and one of the founders. Honorary Chairman of BMR for 3 years.

An avid Public speaker at various metals associations conferences & columnist at several Metals Magazines. Graced with awards as Gold Metal "Personality of the year", Best Recycling company of the year Awards Winner.

Quite honoured to render his 36 years’ experience as Patron of BMR working with BMR president and other Patrons for the promotion of Circular Economy, Resource Sustainability in general, and BMR in particular.

Mr. Dominique Maguin

He has been working in the recycling Industry for the last 45 years. Past president of Veolia Recycling activities worldwide- active in paper/board, non-ferrous, ferrous, plastics, wood. Since 2007 established his own company CMP, with offices in Paris and south of France.

Past President of FEDEREC the French federation and also BIR, EuRIC, European confederation of recycling industries and CME the French confederation of environment activities. And special adviser to the President of our Global Recycling Foundation - Mr. Ranjit S Baxi.

Mr. Ranjit S Baxi

Has been at the forefront of Recycling for over 35 years, trading in Waste paper, Plastic and Steel Scrap. Past President of BIR have been member of several Boards as NED over last 20 years including The UK Olympics.

Is the founder of Global Recycling Day - 18th March, and The Global Recycling Foundation.

GRD has grown globally over the last 4 years with all your support and contributions from our team - Dominique, Susie & Mir and ISRI.

Authored a book - Recycling our Future, A Global Strategy. Now writing another book for launch by year end.

Mr. D. K. Jain

Electric Engineer by qualification but Metallurgist by experience. Managing Director of 75-year-old family run business Agrawal Metal works engaged in manufacturing of copper flat rolled products like strips & foil having fully integrated plant starting from Melting Casting and Rolling. located at two locations Rewari Haryana and Bhiwadi Rajasthan, India.

A member of Bureau of Indian Standards - Copper Division for the last 40 years. President of Indian Non-Ferrous Metal Manufacture Association for the last 18 years.

Agrawal Metal specialises in High grade, high purity, high Elect. Conductivity copper like ETP, PHC, DHP etc. Rely on Virgin metal like copper cathode and prefer to buy recyclable pure copper wire - Red Shiny Mill Berry etc.

Lately have started casting High Tensile Brass Ingots suitable for Low pressure Die casting of High-end Sanitary fittings.

Ms. Susie Burrage

She is the fourth generation of her family to own a metal recycling company in the U.K. The company is called Recycled Products Ltd & was founded in 2001. She is the President of the British Metals Recycling Association & President of the European Metal Trade & Recycling Branch of EURIC since 2016. Also, an Ambassador of the Global Recycling Foundation and U. K. Ambassador & Non-Ferrous Board member of BIR.

She is passionate about promoting the glorious recycling industry & its environmental benefits.

Mr. Brian Shine

CEO of Manitoba Corporation a 105-year-old family recycler with two plants in the US. The Company focuses on buying, processing, and selling high grade copper scrap throughout North America. The immediate past Chairman of ISRI and looking forward to continuing as we promote the critically important recycling industry throughout the world.

Mr. Eric Tan

The President of Malaysia Non-Ferrous Metals Association (MNMA). CEO of United Base Metals SdnBhd, a company located in North of Malaysia.
