BMR Workshop
On 28th Sept 2019, BMR launched the first workshop as a part of an ongoing educational series that aims to provide BMR members with deep market and industry insights. The workshop was successfully attended by over 100 BMR Members.
The workshop commenced with our Treasurer and Board Member, Mr Anshul Gupta briefed on VAT engagement with PWC followed by the legal Consultant Mr Vivek Agarwalla from the Alhamadi Law firm office who briefed an informative session on contracts and other legal issues that affect daily operations in the metal industries.
The session was followed by a discussion on succession planning and was presented by legal consultant Mr Mohamad Marria from Just WILLS. The event was concluded with a Q&A session.
All the members showed a high appreciation of the efforts shown by the BMR team in organizing this event and confirmed their great insights into the issues discussed and challenges faced. The Purpose of the workshop which Bureau of Middle East Recycling aims to achieve includes several topics:
The next workshop of this series will be hosted in January 2020 with exciting topics, venues to be announced.
BMR's next event will be on Nov 2nd 2019 to celebrate Diwali. This is an annual event hosted by the Bureau of Middle East Recycling where all the members and their families will get together in celebrating the festival of lights.
