Chairing SHARIF METALS GROUP, and SHARIF RECYCLING GROUP which are managed by his sons. Having full range Recycling facilities in the region with granulators, shredders, and full equipped facilities both for ferrous and non-ferrous.
Held/holding several positions at BIR as Vice President N.F Division, Shredder Board member and Chairman for Ambassadors Committee. First President of BMR for 10 years (2008-2018) and one of the founders. Honorary Chairman of BMR for 3 years.
An avid Public speaker at various metals associations conferences & columnist at several Metals Magazines. Graced with awards as Gold Metal "Personality of the year", Best Recycling company of the year Awards Winner.
Quite honoured to render his 36 years’ experience as Patron of BMR working with BMR president and other Patrons for the promotion of Circular Economy, Resource Sustainability in general, and BMR in particular.
He has been working in the recycling Industry for the last 45 years. Past president of Veolia Recycling activities worldwide- active in paper/board, non-ferrous, ferrous, plastics, wood. Since 2007 established his own company CMP, with offices in Paris and south of France.
Past President of FEDEREC the French federation and also BIR, EuRIC, European confederation of recycling industries and CME the French confederation of environment activities. And special adviser to the President of our Global Recycling Foundation - Mr. Ranjit S Baxi.
Has been at the forefront of Recycling for over 35 years, trading in Waste paper, Plastic and Steel Scrap. Past President of BIR have been member of several Boards as NED over last 20 years including The UK Olympics.
Is the founder of Global Recycling Day - 18th March, and The Global Recycling Foundation.
